An oil painting I painted as a preliminary idea to a larger piece as part of my Japanese Potters Series.  The scene is of three potters preparing clay that was dug from the hills beyond and cleaned and dried in this field.  Here, they are collecting the balls of clay in order to bring them back to the factory for production.
 
'The Peach Hat', 9.5x13 inches, oil on canvas.  Painting started in Dec 2016 and finished Sep 2019.  
The framing was done by my local framer, a beatiful double frame highlighting the colors and depths in the painting.
