Japanese Potter Preparatory Works

The preparation for the final and larger works in my Japanese Potter Series are pictured below. All are full oil sketches, some color and some monochrome. This is an important part of my process: to do 1-3 oil sketches before heading into the final. I use these to work out design, value, and color schemes.
